Advantages of Freeze Dried Food – For All Ages by Adam Rise

There are many advantages of freeze dried food, and they’ve come a long way from 30 years ago when it was first introduced for the astronauts and for backpackers. In fact, today’s freeze dried foods have all of the flavor, texture, and vitamins and nutrients of canned or other types of frozen food. In fact, there are going to be certain types of freeze-dried food that is actually better than frozen as a keeps its flavor and vital nutrients. This means that you can keep freeze-dried food for a very long period of time.
Another of the advantages you’ll have is the weight, you’ll have to have very good supporting shelves for canned food whereas freeze-dried food on the other hand is relatively small and takes up less space and doesn’t need the support.
Many hobby exercise individuals such as those that do backpacking, bicycling and camping enjoy lightweight of freeze-dried food as well. They have found that they can pack more food for a longer period of time if they use freeze-dried food than if they try to pack traditional food. They then will just have to have a water source in order to reconstitute the food into a fully nutritious meal.
Many people store it for emergency conditions. They will store in a bunker or other type of safe area that they will need should there ever be an earthquake or other natural disaster. Of course, there are those who figure that sooner or later war will tear our country apart and store freeze-dried food as well.
The freeze and drying process for freeze-dried food as changed as well, now EPA, they use a drying Dextrose Monohydrate manufacturer, heated and freezing process. The food is first frozen L-Threonine manufacturer, it is then put it into a low pressure chamber where it is heated in order to allow the water to become a gas. It is then frozen again, and this allows pockets within the food that allows the expansion when it’s rehydrated.
There are many advantages to freeze-dried food, and one of the best, of course Goji, is the taste is so much better than what was originally produced over 30 years ago. The freezing and drying process is quicker, maintains better flavor, and actually keeps vitamins and nutrients intact.

Watermelon The Fresh Juicy Fruit With Numerous Health Benefits by Christine Macguire

Combining a healthy diet with regular exercise promotes health and may substantially reduce the risk of certain fatal diseases associated with old age. A diet rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains has always been of incredible health benefit. Watermelon, scientifically known as Citrullus lanatus, has a great potential as a basic food source and contributes to a healthy nutritional diet.

Watermelons were primarily grown on lighter soils in regions with warmer climates. Watermelons were a warm season crops consumed as dessert fruits and the rinds were used for making pickles and preserves. However, with increased market acceptance, better edible quality and long distance shipping adaptability, the growth of watermelons has increased worldwide. Certain breeds of watermelons have been developed to be more specific to regions of the world. The breeding has resulted in improved quality, which involves maximum sugar content, excellent flavor, and firm flesh with deep red color pigment due to the presence of lycopene.

The sweet, juicy watermelon is actually packed with some of the most important antioxidants in nature. It reduces the risk of fatal diseases like asthma, atherosclerosis, diabetes, colon cancer, and arthritis. Watermelon is rich in the B vitamins necessary for energy production. Watermelon is a very good source of vitamin B6 and a good source of vitamin B1, magnesium, and potassium. Watermelon has a high nutrient density due to the higher water content and lower calorie content than many other fruits. A rich source of vitamins A and C, watermelon also contains lycopene. Lycopene is a red pigment that occurs naturally in certain plant and algal tissues. In addition to giving watermelon and tomatoes their color it is an excellent anti-oxidant that can help prevent heart disease and some forms of cancer.

Up until a few decades ago, watermelon was largely a seasonal fruit that appeared in the market for a few months and then disappeared by the end of summer. Considering the current information regarding the health benefits of watermelon there has been a huge increase in the per capita watermelon consumption. The increase in imports during the winter and early spring is helping satisfy the consumer demand for year-round supplies of watermelon.

Selective plant breeding programs are being employed in order to improve the overall nutritional qualities of watermelon. Commercial companies are employing trained scientists to research and develop long-term solutions that lead to a better product quality in terms of higher sugar content and consequently increases acceptance among the consumers.

In terms of acreage, production, and per capita consumption watermelon is the leading U.S. melon crop. A recent survey indicates that the middle-income groups are the leading consumers of watermelon. The bulk of watermelon purchase has been from retail outlets and it is categorized as a home food. Among the top three melons, the honeydew variety is the most prevalent. Cantaloupe use is similar to watermelon with 16 percent purchased as food away from home.

The Need To Change Lipid Nutriture by Dr. Randy Wysong

THE ESKIMO EVIDENCE

There is a variety of persuading evidence that the fatty acid content of modern human and domesticated animal diets should be altered. The ability of fish oils to affect cardiovascular disease has recently become widely known. However, this is not new. It originally came to light more than 35 years ago.1,2 Epidemiological studies of Greenland Eskimos demonstrated a low incidence of cardiovascular disease compared to Western nations. A component of fish oil has subsequently been linked to this preventive action by some investigators. Since Eskimos, on their native diets, are known to be afflicted with only one tenth the amount of myocardial infarction as is present in Danes and Americans, incorporating the preventive factors of the Eskimo diet in the Western diet might therefore have dramatic health consequences.3

ANIMAL EVIDENCE

Experimental evidence from animal studies demonstrates a like effect of improper lipid nutriture. For example, in vessel ligating studies measuring vascular necrosis in rats, cats, dogs, swine, and primates, it has been determined that increasing omega-3 fatty acids produces a protective effect.4-8

A comparison of the tissues of domestic animals to that of wild animals demonstrates the dramatic nutritional shift which has occurred with domestication and modern farming practices. (Fig. 30) If humans eat factory farmed animals, their tissues will mirror the changes which have occurred in the food animal. Humans, like domestic animals, will also therefore have fatty acid profile discordancy with their preindustrialized ancestors

[ Comparison Of Domestic An Wild Animal Meat Image ]

PRE-MODERN POPULATION EVIDENCE

There are likely factors other than just the incorporation of high levels of fish oils in the diet which have protective effects against cardiovascular disease. Anthropological studies demonstrate that preindustrial civilizations and wild populations of animals do not fall victim to this disease as we do, yet they do not by and large consume fish. Consuming a natural, raw, whole food diet likely presents a wide range of health augmenting effects which help protect not only against cardiovascular disease but many other degenerative diseases as well. 9,10

A study of the nature of the modern processed diet as compared to natural diets demonstrates the wide gap that has occurred between the two. Not only have oils been stripped from their natural food context but, through various processing methods, they have been altered in ways that prevent their participation in essential fatty acid functions. These alterations may not only remove nutritional value but may turn them into metabolic toxins as previously discussed. Such changes have occurred within a very short time period, primarily within the last 50-75 years.

However, the genome was adapted over thousands of years to natural food sources containing natural ratios of natural fatty acids. Food changes, like environmental changes which are occurring at a rapid pace, can outstrip the ability of organisms to adapt. We are in a genetic time warp; our genes are adapted to a natural form of food and environment, yet we are now increasingly experiencing an entirely different context. By outlining this idea from the perspective of time our precarious position is dramatically demonstrated. Study and ponder Figure 31 well; it represents the most important concept in the book.

[ Time And Adaptation Image ]

It is now estimated that 75-80% of all deaths occurring in Western cultures are a result of exposing our genes to the wrong environment and food. Chronic degenerative diseases are the symptoms of this genetic discordancy. These include cardiovascular disease, cancers, arthritis, autoimmune diseases, adult onset diabetes, and a wide range of other degenerative conditions.11, 12

The logical solution is to restore the diet to its more archetypal, natural form. This can be accomplished through fresh raw, natural products in the diet and the selection of specific foods which contain high levels of certain beneficial nutrients.

If processed foods are to be consumed, foods should be selected as close to their original form as possible with minimization of manipulation.

THE DYNAMICS OF TISSUE FATTY ACIDS

“We are what we eat” is particularly true in relation to lipid nutrition. Since lipids make up a large percentage of the substance of the body, and lipids undergo a continual turnover, our lipid composition is therefore a direct reflection of what we have been eating.

The composition of serum triglycerides reflects the composition of the last few meals: that of cholesterol esters (in LDL’s for example) and erythrocyte membranes reflects the intake of the preceding weeks or months: whereas the composition of adipose tissue is an index of the habitual diet over the past 23 years.13 Changing the dietary composition of fatty acids will therefore first change serum lipids, then LDL’s and erythrocytes, then adipose tissue. In other words, if we are eating high saturated fat burgers and french fries boiled in denatured oil, our membranes will reflect this composition and predispose us to degenerative disease over time. On the other hand, if our diet consists of a large proportion of fresh, raw vegetables, fruits and seeds minimally prepared, our membranes will reflect the composition of these ingredients with omega-3, -6, and -9 fatty acids more nearly matching our distant preindustrial ancestors, our genetic expectation. (Fig. 32)

COMPLEMENTARY NUTRIENTS

A variety of nutrient cofactors contributes to proper lipid nutrition. As fatty acids are enzymatically converted into energy, eicosanoids, and structural components, enzyme systems are at work. These systems require the presence of micronutrients found in whole natural foods such as the minerals zinc, copper, potassium, iron, and manganese, and vitamins such as B3′ B6′ B12′ C and folic acid. About two thirds of the 50 or more known essential nutrients are believed to be involved. Focusing only on fatty acids would be as erroneous

[ Tissue Fatty Acid Dynamics Image ]

as omitting them. Nutrition is an unimaginably complex entanglement of elements that is best supported by balanced whole fresh foods and intelligent, balanced supplementation when necessary.

Healthy Weight Loss – Best Way to Lose Weight by Laura Ng

With so many weight loss diets, plans, programs and unusual methods popping up like popcorn, it’s really getting difficult to identify the best way to lose weight.

I’m a big advocate of healthy weight loss, so I don’t like methods that produce weight loss result at the expense of your health. If you want to stay slim, at the same time, healthy, stay with me and I’ll show you what constitutes a healthy weight loss and the best way to help you remove those ugly slabs of fat off your belly, thighs and buttocks.

What is Healthy Weight Loss?

Just bear this in mind, you should never attempt any weight loss method that requires unnatural jab (like B12 shots) or eating tons of meat (like those low-carb high-protein meat-laden diet) and lack the absorption of various nutrients or whatsoever.

Our body is very sensitive to anything that tries to destroy our health. Just a little side effect is enough to show that you’re not doing the right thing. For example, you laze around the whole day doing nothing but stuffing chips into your mouth. When you get up and move, you feel sluggish and clumsy.

What does that tell you? Your body doesn’t like such sedentary lifestyle. You need to move a lot to keep your body actively healthy.

You take B12 shots, then you feel bloated at your tummy, or your menstrual cycle becomes heavier and longer (for women), or your visit to the bathroom becomes more frequent due to an upset stomach, or you feel pain all around the injection area.

What does that tell you? Your body cannot take in vitamins via such unnatural jab, unless your health is at stake due to B12 deficiency, not injecting for the purpose of weight loss.

You eat lots of meat for 3 full days in consecution for your high-protein weight loss diet, then you find hard to get those wastes staggering inside your tummy out of your butt.

What does that tell you? You’re not getting enough fiber for proper excretion. Obviously, this is not the best way to lose weight.

These are just few examples of adverse effects produced by unnatural means of losing weight. There are a whole lot which will take forever to list, but I’m not going into that.

Just remember, the best way to lose weight is through eating the right foods (particularly whole natural foods) that cover the entire spectrum of nutrients for your body and couple your healthy weight loss diet with regular exercises.

That is the ultimate solution for permanent fat loss and good health for life.

Best Way to Lose Weight

I highly recommend eating vegetarian diet for weight loss. This is by far the most natural method for healthy weight loss because you’re not ingesting anything that can harm your health, but yet you’re getting all essential nutrients your body needs for optimal cell growth and maximum fat loss. It’s the best way to lose weight, indeed.

You can try eating whole natural plant-based foods for 3 consecutive days without any meat, you’ll realize you become more energetic, your body feels great and your visit to the bathroom for waste excretion becomes more frequent and smoother.

What does that tell you? Your body loves it!

3 days is not enough to see much weight loss. Do it for 10 days at least, and you’ll jump with ecstasy. You’ll find your skin improving and smoother too. What do those positive “side effects” tell you? Vegetarian diet is what your body wants for healthy weight loss.

You don’t have to take my word for it, go try it out yourself. But make sure you ingest the right type of vegetarian diet for weight loss. Some vegetarian diets can be harmful too. So, exercise precaution when selecting.

What You Should Know About Massage Oils by JSun Storm

What You Should Know About Massage Oils

There are so many massage oil products on the market today, in this article we’ll take a look at various types, which ones to choose from, and which ones to avoid like the plague.

There are two main groups of oils used: vegetable fats and oils, and mineral oils. Many massage products today contain mineral oils. They are synthetic, and even though they have a long shelf life and provide good lubrication, they can be very bad for the skin and body.

Mineral Oils create a thin film on the surface of the skin, which clogs the pores and stops the skin from breathing. Also, they do not contain any vitamins and disrupt the body’s natural ability to absorb fat soluble vitamins. Even though mineral oils appear to moisturize the skin, in reality they are preventing normal, healthy functioning. The skin becomes dependant on these mineral oils and with long-term use this results in a deterioration of the skin’s ability to stay healthy.

Vegetable fats and oils on the other hand are easily absorbed by the skin and give vital energy to the body. They are used to create new cells. Most vegetable oils contain vitamins which are necessary for healthy skin. They also soften the skin and help it to retain moisture. Certain vegetable oils with a lot of monounsaturated fatty acids like Avocado and Almond oil provide great lubrication, keep well, and nourish the skin.

The other group of massage oils that are used are Polyunsaturated fatty acids. A lack of these essential fatty acids can lead to rashes, eczema and dry skin. These oils act as a vitamin for the skin.

A couple types of polyunsaturated fatty acids are Linoleic and Linolenic acid. They need to be combined with vitamin E to stop them from going bad quickly. They are thin liquids which are easily absorbed by the skin, drier than other fatty acids and they reduce the size of skin pores. They are great for people with oily skin and large pores. Some Vegatable oils that contain a lot of polyunsaturated acids are Sunflower Oil, Evening Primrose Oil and Grape Seed Oil.

Oils should always be Cold Pressed to make sure that the vitamins and fatty acids are not destroyed during the manufacturing process. Most commercial grade vegetable oils which are intended for use in cooking are obtained by solvent extraction and then refined which destroys most of the beneficial properties in the oil.

Now we’ll take a look at some of the properties of the most popular healthy oils:

Almond oil is an excellent emollient (softens and soothes the skin) and helps the skin to keep it’s moisture balance. This is one of the more popular carrier oils used in aromatherapy and massage as it’s non-greasy, spreads easy and is great for nourishing the skin.

Jojoba oil is also an excellent moisturizer and is great for all skin types. It can usually be used on blemished skin without irritation. Jojoba penetrates the skin easily and is suitable for all skin types. Preferably, Jojoba should be blended with other oils as on it’s own it does not give enough nourishment to the skin. Also, Jojoba keeps for up to 5 years before it goes bad.

Grapeseed oil is rich in linoleic acid. It is known to have regenerative and restructuring qualites as well as excellent moisturizing properties. Grapeseed oil is non-greasy and contains vitamins, minerals, protein, Gamma Linoleic Acid, and a small amount of vitamin E.

Apricot oil has moisturizing, nourishing and revitalizing properties and is particularily helpful for dehydrated, delicate, mature and sensitive skin. It also helps to soothe inflammation. This finely textured oil spreads easily and is particularily rich in oileic acid and linoleic acid.

Avocado oil is often used for clients with dry or mature skin, and for people with eczema, psoriasis or similar conditions. It is also very useful for treating skin that is damaged, dehydrated and undernourished. It is known to regenerate the skin and soften the tissue. Although it can be used pure, it is in most cases mixed with another carrier like Almond oil or Grapeseed. It is easily absorbed into the skin and deep tissue and excellent emollient properties.

Wheat germ oil has a high vitamin E conent and lots of essential fatty acids. It is known to help promote a smoother, younger looking skin and assists in healing scar tissues as well as stretch marks. It is too sticky to use on its own, but is excellent when blended with lighter carriers such as almond oil. It is known to to promote the formation of new cells, improve circulation and help repair sun damage. Also it is helpful for the symptoms of dermatitis. This carrier is known to stimulate tissue regeneration and is often added to other blends because of its antioxidant properties.

Hazelnut oil is fine in texture and has excellent moisturizing properties. Hazelnut can also help tone and tighten the skin while strengthening capillaries and assisting in cell regeneration.

I suggest that you experiment with mixing different oils together and see how your skin responds. We all have different types of skin and what works well for one person may not work for another.

How and Why to Use Supplementation, No Matter What Your Goals Are by Jason Horsley

Many of us don’t have an ideal nutritional plan and even if we do, today’s means of both growing and processing foods has limited the nutrient totals found in daily diets. For these reasons, almost EVERYONE requires nutritional supplementation of some sort. Irrelevant of whether you eat for maintenance, mass gain or weight loss, supplementation fills the gaps that are otherwise impossible to control through diet alone.

Now, knowing the need for your supplementation is just the beginning. There are so many choices out there today and so many more manufacturers making claims that their products provide all of the necessary vitamins, minerals and other nutrients to support overall health. Unfortunately, this is not often the case. One must be very careful when choosing the line of supplementation they will use. It is not to say that they are unhealthy necessarily, but merely that you could in fact be simply throwing your hard earned money away with the use of them.

Simple tip, use only the “major” manufacturers! Do NOT make a purchase based on the price or weekly sale! Also, keep in mind, there is no singular, all-inclusive nutritional product and shy away from any company or product presenting as such. There are just far too many nutritional needs to provide it all through one pill, shake or powder. And no, this does not mean you need a dozen products. It is far more important to cover the basics and those which meet YOUR personal goals.

If for example, you are someone searching for weight loss, please stop looking for the overnight sensation. It does not exist, at least not in a healthy manner. Utilize proven products that create lifestyle effects! Advocare, a premier health and wellness company has formulated a “Metabolic Nutrition System” which is dietary supplement supporting the body’s natural metabolism. When metabolism is optimized, the individual experiences increased energy, better weight management and superior body functions. This is not done through the jittery, ill-feeling means used by so many companies out there. No rushes! No heart palpitations! No flush feelings! Simply good nutrition that enhances your body’s natural abilities.

As for the basics, while I could not even begin to touch on each and every one, I will provide a few important considerations here. Vitamin A is an important nutrient to maintain good health; it helps in good vision, maintaining the skin, mucous membranes, surface lining of the eyes, respiratory, urinary and intestinal tracts. Advocare products contain two types of Vitamin A; Vitamin A palatinate is one used immediately by our body and beta-carotene, a Vitamin A precursor that is converted into usable Vitamin A only as and when required. Vitamin B-6, a water-soluble vitamin is critical for the synthesis of hormones and neurotransmitters from dietary amino acids. Advocare products containing vitamin B-6 supplement are effective in lowering blood homocysteine, which is important in maintaining health of the heart.

Protein is a very important supplement for everyone, irrelevant of your goals. Our daily diets are all too often carbohydrate heavy and an adjustment to include more protein through supplementation will provide huge benefits. Protein requirements range from .8 grams to 2 grams per pound of body weight, based on goals, lifestyle and exercise. Protein supplementation is available in pill or powder form. It is all but impossible to consume the required amounts of protein through diet alone, without consuming excess calories from fats and carbohydrates. A quality protein supplement that has a superior source of high-grade protein and is a metabolically balanced blend that feeds your muscles with the amino acids and other essential components that are necessary for building muscle is a simple solution. A protein which includes L-Arginine, one of the 20 natural amino acid constituents of proteins, plays an important role in metabolism of glucose, which is essential for weight management and good health.

In today’s world, stress is generally associated with emotional, physical or environmental issues. A balanced diet with excellent nutrition and proper use of dietary supplementation can enhance energy levels and decrease the stresses associated with everyday life, thus increasing general health and wellness. Nutrient supplements have important components that help the membranes of nerve cells and also form a sheath for brain tissues and it helps in protecting the brain and nerve tissues from stress and promote healthy mood. A company like AdvoCare has designed several products to help fight stress. The products have a unique blend of B f198e4e425186991911b904dd89a0e92 and essential nutrients that support individuals with different kinds of stress. Additionally, SPARK, the leading energy and mental focus supplement on the market will produce tremendous effects for anyone! Spark has even been tested in studies focusing on those suffering from ADHD and ADD, will exceptional outcomes.

An estimated 60 – 80% of Americans consume less than recommended daily amounts (RDAs) of many essential nutrients including vitamins and minerals. Over 90% of Americans don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables per day. So it is clear that an average American diet needs a dietary supplement for ensuring the appropriate nutritional needs to have an optimal health and wellness. Choose products that have been designed to ensure that these nutritional needs are met. This will go a long way to decreasing the risk of numerous diseases, facilitate digestion and prevent depression.

What Is There I Can Say Regarding Detoxification Diets by Kerris Samson – ArticleCity.com

As you can see, detox diets have become part of the diet craze and that is why more and more people searching on the internet for them are increasing.

There are various words that you were heard of such as toxins, detoxification, cleansing and purifying and all of these relate to detox diets.

Firstly let’s talk about toxins. These are harmful chemicals which can affect the way your body works. You will find them all around you, they are in your food you consume, the water that you drink and the air that you breathe and also in your body (they are the waste products of metabolism). However, although your body is able to remove most of these toxins from it, there are some which are stored within your body’s fat. These toxins stored within your body and combined with stress can affect the way your body works in many unpleasant ways, such as weight gain, headaches, feelings of fatigue and weakness, a feeling of heartburn, complaining of sore muscles and skin and joint pains

Although these symptoms will fade when you start a detox diet, you may find that you feel some discomfort in the first few days, but this is the body reacting normally to a change in diet. You may also find that you suffer from headaches or sore muscles at the beginning, but this is because the toxins are being released quicker in to your body than it can react to remove them. However, these symptoms should not occur again if you detox on a regular basis.

So why is a detox diet an ideal way to help with weight loss?

The reason why a detox diet is so good with weight loss is because the process releases and then expels the toxins stored in your body through the elimination organs such as the intestines, liver, lungs, kidney and skin. The whole idea of a detox diet is not only to cleanse your body of toxins but it is also a nutritious dietary plan which not only cleanses the body, but also helps to improve your metabolism.

There are recommendations now being made for being to use detox diets to help improve a person’s resistance against diseases, mental state, and digestive problems as well as strengthening those organs which are involved in the detox diet. Detox diets can help to prevent serious diseases such as Cancer, ADD, ADHD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and many chemical sensitivities that people are becoming prone to, as well as being able to treat heart disease, fibromyalgia and autoimmune disease.

So what sorts of foods should you take in a detox diet.

Many detox diets recommend that you should consume foods that are especially beneficial to your health and essential if you wish to lose weight. Such goods that come into this category are organic foods and lots of fruit and vegetables. You should also drink lots of purified water (preferably at least 2 litres a day), cut back on all those processed foods you like and if you do smoke then quit and give up alcohol as well.

What you should remember is that detox diets are very restrictive as to what is acceptable and you should follow it to the letter. Detox diets are safe but you should consult your doctor before you start one.

The types of detox diets that are around today are as follows:-

1. Fasting. This is where you only drink water, juices or broths (soups) or the eating of one certain kind of food for a specific time period. This one allows your body to start burning fat off for the energy that it needs.

2. Nutritional Supplements. All you do during this diet is to take nutritious powders, vitamins and specific packaged protein snacks.

3. Hydrotherapy. You detox your body by releasing the toxins out through the skin pores by taking special baths.

4. Specific Detox Diets. These usually last between 7 and 30 days but there are quick ones which last only 1 to 3 days, but there are others that last for 8 weeks.

I hope this information has provided you with a basis on which to look at detox diets as a way of helping to improve your life and providing you with a healthier lifestyle.

Weight Loss by Donald Carroll

For those of you interested in weight loss, exercising, dieting, and training, even sleep and stress patterns must all be taken into account. As far as exercise goes, muscle building is far more effective, in terms of weight loss than cardiovascular exercise. Exercise is an integral part of the process of weight loss, and weightlifting exercises are better than cardiovascular exercise in terms of weight loss because in weightlifting, fat is translated to muscle, where as in cardiovascular exercise, fat is melted away, so to speak! So, as regards weight loss, plan on squats, push-ups, sit-ups, and strengthening exercises.

For weight loss, as far as dieting goes, I have found the South Beach Diet to be quite effective for me. Weight loss requires mostly a “low carb” diet, where your focus is to eat certain kinds of “carbs” conducive to weight loss, versus others. It is also a very healthy way of eating that promotes weight loss, and as you can pretty much eat as much as you want, anytime, it is not a difficult weight loss diet to maintain in the long run. I do not actually cook any or all of the recipes listed in the book called “The South Beach Diet”, but I do eat the main ingredients of that diet regularly, for weight loss, and I stay away from potatoes, breads, and pastas. For weight loss, I use only low fat butters, sauces, etc. I have succeeded in weight loss in a very short amount of time, and I now maintain a regular, healthy, low fat diet. I also exercise minimally, and I will probably never be faced with having to go on a weight loss diet again. If so, I know how to lose weight very quickly!

In the practice of martial arts, and integral to weight loss, cardiovascular exercise, weight training, and even stretching are all integral parts of training. Aside from weight loss, I studied and practiced the martial arts when I was very young, and I was heavily influenced by Bruce Lee’s works. Later, I competed in Tae Kwon Do, and weight loss was an integral part of competition fighting. My weight loss plan and fitness training was then based a lot on the same ideas that Bruce Lee had. I will now outline a simple and yet effective weight loss and exercise plan.

For weight loss, start with a “low-carb” diet, eating boneless/skinless chicken breasts, London broil, fish and shellfish, and very lean hamburger, for meats. Also for weight loss, for vegetables, only eat green and white vegetables…broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, green beans, and brussel sprouts are good choices for weight loss. Also for weight loss, do not eat fruits or desserts, etc…use only low fat butter or butter substitutes, egg substitutes, fat free cheeses and salad dressings, and next to no salt and pepper…for weight loss, if you are creative, you can make excellent dishes all the time, and eat as much as you want, whenever you want, and maintain your weight loss plan. Make sure to also stay away from breads and pastas, and sweets period…at least for a time. For weight loss, you can gradually implement fruits, pastas, breads, and other things back into your diet after you have reached your target weight. Again, for weight loss, moderation with these things is the key! Oh…no beer! For weight loss, best to enjoy “low-cal” alcoholic beverages in moderation. Red wine is the least fattening!

To drink otherwise? Lots of water is best!

Visit Our FREE Section to find “TAO OF JEET KUNE DO”, WEIGHT LOSS AUDIO BOOKS, E-BOOKS, BRUCE LEE MOVIES, MARTIAL ARTS MOVIES, VIDEOS, DOCUMENTARIES, AND MUCH MORE ON DIETING, WEIGHT LOSS, MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING, SPORTS EXERCISE, AND MUCH, MUCH MORE!!!

Regarding weight loss, for an exercise program, plan to spend no more than thirty minutes once every several days. For weight loss, your muscles need time to heal, and to build muscle (thereby translating fat into muscle), and you will not experience soreness. For weight loss, exercising for short periods of time every several days, even in front of the television, is an easy enough program to maintain. For weight loss, and to tone or build muscle, exercise should be both fat burning and muscle building at the same time. Do many repetitions of each exercise, and as many sets as you can…for weight loss, you want to work your muscles and develop a “sweat”. Do your repetitions as close together as possible…work SLOWLY towards your weight loss goal! Weight loss, true fitness, and mastery in the martial arts requires long term and repetitive workouts.

Weight loss with a diet as suggested above, and a thirty minute exercise routine two to three times a week; a weight loss workout including squats, push-ups, and crunches, and/or any number of replacement exercises and routines will produce weight loss in anywhere from two weeks to thirty days – anywhere from seven to fifteen pounds of weight loss, honestly!

My own personal regimen for weight loss and exercise, unless I am practicing the martial arts, is simply several sets of leg squats, several sets of push-ups, and several sets of some stomach exercises such as sit-ups, or tummy crunchers…for weight loss, the list of available exercises for martial arts training, even Bruce Lee’s own collection of exercises, is exhaustive! For weight loss, I do this thirty minute workout in front of the television every seventy-two hours or so…plenty, as I am no longer trying to execute an axe kick, and I am happy with my own weight loss!

A Bruce Lee workout often includes weight loss…a Bruce Lee workout includes stretching, bending, running, dipping, kicking, jumping, traditional muscle building exercises, weight lifting, rope skipping, medicine ball handling, etc. Even for weight loss, you would do well to read “Tao of Jeet Kune Do”, by Bruce Lee, as Bruce Lee studied almost all arts of combat, their weight loss programs, and their exercise programs, and included his suggestions in the above mentioned masterpiece.

What about weight loss and diet pills? It is really just speed, or caffeine, and suppresses the appetite. So, just do some cocaine, and you will experience considerable weight loss! (Pun intended!) For weight loss, diet pills, and especially cocaine, are not healthy for you, and they interfere with your sleep patterns. Besides weight loss, cocaine use has even more drastic side effects! Also, once the pill or drug is abstained from, the weight usually returns as the appetite is no longer suppressed.

In closing, if you want to succeed in weight loss, feel good, look tone or even muscular, adopt my version of the South Beach Diet, as a regular way of eating. For weight loss, begin with an exercise routine such as mine, and perhaps increase the length and severity of your workouts over time. Get plenty of sleep, vitamins and aspirin are helpful, and set about to work with your weight loss plan, chiseling the body you have always wanted for yourself…maybe we will see you in an upcoming Jackie Chan movie!
